Having used my Ipod and its shuffle extensively over the last week of holidays - my wife's fancy Musk mobile doesn't accept USB sticks or such, so bluetoothing an Ipod is the only way to get our music in that thing - I thought, hey, let's roll out the random shuffle again, to the applause of one and a half One Buck Heads clapping.
You know the rules by now, folks, if you have a music playing device that can be put on random, do so and list the first ten songs it comes up with. If you don't, just list the last five albums you've listened to. Or, you know, the last three songs that randomly popped in your head. I don't care, just list something music-related.
As usual I will start things off, so in the comments you'll find my top ten random shuffle.
And then add to the fun by adding your own.
Okay, here goes

My rant first: I have never had music software that was as satisfying to use as the iTunes of ten or fifteen years ago. Before it had to "phone home to Cupertino" in order to function, it did almost everything I wanted, and did it well. I have an iPod 80G that doesn't run without being plugged in to the wall. But it still is worth maintaining as part of a home stereo set up.
ReplyDeleteNow I use a portable player that has great specs and "tinker toy" software. I don't ever bother to set it on shuffle, because you can't tell it to either shuffle albums, or tracks.
My last listened list...
A New Day Yesterday - Jethro Tull
I Dig Rock and Roll Music - Peter, Paul and Mary
Watch Her Ride - Jefferson Airplane
All American Alien Boy - Ian Hunter
Shake Some Action - Flaming Groovies
1985 - Richard Thompson
It Takes A Lot To Laugh, It Takes A Train To Cry - Grateful Dead
Beleeka Doodle Day - Al Stewart
D in California
It's funny, I always found I Tunes ridiculously difficult to work with and not intuitive at all. THat's why I basiclly didn't change music on my I Pod for years until this year to put some wife-compatible music on there...

ReplyDeleteDancing in the Nude - Martin Mull
The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down - The Band
Lay Down (Candles in the Rain) - Melanie
The Night Chicago Died - Paper Lace
Conquistador - Procol Harum
Southern Belle Raisin' Hell - Willow Avalon
Give Ireland Back to the Irish - Paul McCartney
Levon - Elton John &
Cortez the Killer - Neil Young
Most of these songs were for a History comp I'm working on for the record. - greg
